Overview
The Dassault Falcon 6X entered service in 2023 as the newest member of the Falcon family, filling the gap between the super-midsize segment and the ultra-long-range 8X. Its defining feature is the cabin: at 2.58 m wide and 1.98 m tall, it is the widest and tallest cabin cross-section of any purpose-built business jet — wider than the Gulfstream G700 (2.49 m) and the Global 7500 (2.44 m).
The 6X represents Dassault's vision for the future of business aviation: a twin-engine aircraft with fly-by-wire controls, next-generation avionics including the FalconEye combined vision system, and a cabin environment designed for both productivity and rest on flights up to 12 hours.
Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D engines — the first new-design engine to power a Falcon in decades — the 6X achieves its 10,186 km range while maintaining the Falcon family's trademark short-field performance and low approach speeds.

Performance
The PW812D engines are a clean-sheet design that delivers 13,460 lbf of thrust each while achieving best-in-class fuel efficiency. Total fuel burn at long-range cruise is approximately 1,050 kg/h — lower than the tri-engine 7X and 8X despite a significantly larger cabin. This efficiency advantage translates directly into lower operating costs per hour.
The 6X's fly-by-wire system is the fourth generation of Dassault's digital flight controls. It provides flight envelope protection, automatic trim, and a turbulence damping function that significantly smooths the ride. The approach speed of 109 knots gives the 6X access to short runways that competitors in its class cannot reach.
The 10,186 km range enables nonstop flights on routes such as London to Hong Kong, Paris to Los Angeles, or Dubai to Tokyo. For most business missions within the Americas, Europe-Middle East, or intra-Asian routes, the 6X provides ample range with reserves.
Cabin Layout
The Falcon 6X cabin is where this aircraft truly separates itself from the competition. The 2.58 m width allows for true lie-flat seating arrangements without compromising aisle space, and the 1.98 m height means virtually all passengers can stand fully upright. The cabin volume of 49.8 m3 exceeds that of many ultra-long-range competitors.
A typical three-zone configuration includes a forward club with four fully reclining seats, a mid-cabin conference or dining area with a table, and an aft lounge with a three-seat divan that converts to a bed. The galley is positioned forward with a dedicated crew rest area.
Dassault's new cabin management system features 38 large windows — the most natural light of any business jet — along with skylight-style ceiling panels and a circadian rhythm lighting system designed to combat jet lag on long-haul flights.

Competitors
The Falcon 6X competes with the Gulfstream G600 and Bombardier Global 6500. Against the G600, the Falcon offers a wider cabin (2.58 m vs 2.24 m), superior short-field performance, and the FalconEye CVS. The G600 counters with a slightly longer range and Gulfstream's extensive service network.
Against the Global 6500, the 6X provides a wider cabin, more modern avionics, and better fuel efficiency. The Global 6500 offers a marginally longer range at 12,223 km but with a narrower cabin and higher operating costs. For operators who prioritise cabin comfort and airport access, the Falcon 6X is the standout choice in the 10,000+ km range class.
The Falcon 6X is supported by Dassault's FalconCare programme and a network of over 60 service centres spanning six continents, ensuring rapid maintenance turnaround wherever the aircraft operates.
