Overview
The Gulfstream G280 is the entry point to the Gulfstream family, delivering class-leading range of 6,667 km and speeds up to Mach 0.84 in a super-midsize package. Built at the Gulfstream facility in Israel (formerly the IAI Galaxy/Astra platform), the G280 combines proven Honeywell HTF7250G engines with Gulfstream's PlaneView280 flight deck and the brand's signature cabin quality.
The G280 is one of the few super-midsize jets certified for steep approaches (up to 6 degrees), giving it access to challenging airports like London City (LCY), Lugano (LUG), and similar fields with demanding approach procedures.

Cabin Layout
The G280 cabin features a stand-up height of 1.88 m — matching Gulfstream's large-cabin jets — and a width of 2.11 m with a flat floor throughout. The standard configuration includes a forward four-seat club arrangement, an aft three-seat divan, and a fully enclosed lavatory. A forward refreshment center with icemaker and storage completes the cabin amenities.
Gulfstream's 100% fresh air system and low cabin altitude (equivalent to approximately 1,524 m at FL450) reduce fatigue and jet lag on longer flights. Twelve large oval windows flood the cabin with natural light.

Competitors
The G280 competes primarily with the Bombardier Challenger 350, Cessna Citation Longitude, and Embraer Praetor 600. Key differentiators include its superior range (6,667 km vs. 5,926 km for Challenger 350), steep-approach certification, and Gulfstream's industry-leading cabin environment with 100% fresh air.
